Frequently Asked Questions
Who pays for skilled nursing services?
Skilled nursing services are funded privately, through a long term care insurance policy, Medicaid or Medicare.
Medicaid funds may be available to those who have little or no assets or have depleted their assets in paying for their care.
Medicare benefits may be available to those who require a short term stay for up to 100 days based on medical necessity and rehabilitation potential. Medicare benefits are not based on income.
May I have my own furniture?
Absolutely, feel free to use your furniture, pictures, and keepsakes to decorate your home at River Chase Village.
Are pets welcomed?
We are a certified Eden Alternative Home and we have several pets which live in our home. You are welcome to have your own pet so long as it meets our compatibility requirements and maintains a clean bill of health from your veterinarian. Elders or family members are expected to care for individual pets.
Will I be given a schedule?
Not at all. You are welcome to sleep in and have a late breakfast or get up early for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also offered for extended times. Activities and ongoing projects are designed and scheduled by the Elders in each neighborhood. Any individual care will be scheduled according to your desires.
